Men's Spring/Summer 19 Hair Trends

Modern ‘Bro-Flow’:

Influx of street style looks are driven by the hair in menswear seasons, for example the rise of the modern flow style. A combination of sleekness and texture this style compliments a range of outfits providing and ‘edgy’ hipster tone whilst still having control and maintainability. Use Morgan’s Styling Fibre (£9.50)

To achieve this look hair is to be grown out, this allows the hair to form its own natural shape. There are no true origins to this style as it holds a sense of uniqueness for every individual. Current celebrity inspiration comes from actors such as Milo Ventimiglia and Bradley Cooper.

Sharp Comb-Over:

Targeted at fine hair, this timeless style has high transferability for a variety of occasions. The sleek style emphasises the look of the modern-day gentleman; paired with classic Saville Row tailoring reinforces the notion that simplicity is key.

To add a contemporary twist, the comb-over fade allows for the exploration of modern hairstyling, this arguably risky move on a tradition has paid off with many salons adopting this method of cutting. Popularity of this style has increased massively in the last few seasons with younger generations renovating this styling classic.

Man fringe:

Texturization in a style like this is essential in achieving the messy yet structured look. In consideration of some of the other trends, this must be the most contemporary yet. Large scale runway events have been home to the creation of many hairstyles both on the catwalk and street styles – the man fringe being a prime example. There are two main ways to style this out, either formally, or slightly more creative. Both can be achieved by your stylist, in terms of the recreation of this look is made simple using a pomade or wax. We would advise using the Morgans Shaping Wax, Texture Clay or the Styling Fibre.

Fashion Troll:

Critics are beginning to suggest that this is the hair style of the season. The rejection of societal constructs to adopt the new means of postmodern ideals. This was originally presented at the Thomas Browne show in Paris with all the models having medium length hair and a whole load of hairspray. Unlike some of the other trends this season, this style has a captivating quality – hence the positive predictions.
